Subscribe/Renew Journal
It is the economic life aod not the physical life which is to be used for machine cost analysis. The term 'Economic Life' is defined and five equipment types are discussed. The mode of change of various costs (eight) with the age of a machine are discussed (including such cost factors as Down-time, Reliability and Inventory Costs). Theoretical methods which may be used for economic age determination are discussed in short, but normal economic life of commonly used logging equipment is given for practical purposes. Various other factors which may have impact on the economic life are also mentioned.
