A Note on the Physical and Mechanical Properties of Terminalia citrina from Assam

Phaysical and Mechanical tests were done in green, Air-dry and Kiln-dry conditions on small clear specimens obtained from 4 logs from 4 different naturally grown trees of Terminalia citrina received from Digboi Division, Assam. The results have been compared with the Standard Teak in green, Air-dry and Kiln-dry conditions. Calculated values based on strength-specific gravity formulae have also been given for comparison.
