Conservation of Medicinal Plants through People's Participation - a Case Study of Toranmal, Maharashtra

Protection and conservation of forests and biodiversity is a Herculean task. Ninety per cent of the medicinal plants are found in forests and hence the protection of forests is must. The present case study shows that involvement of community helps in conservation of this depleting resource.
