Important Current Problems of Forest Entomology in India

A review of important current problems of Forest Entomology in India has been given in this paper. The problems included are (1) Teak defoliators, (2) Ailanthus defoliators, (a) Sal heartwood borer, (4) Semul shoot borer, (5) Poplar stem and ischolar_main borer, (6) Deodar defoliator, (7) Insect damages to Eucalyptus and (8) Termite Resistance of wood. Their present position and possible control measures have been discussed.
