Wild Life and its Conservation in NEFA

The paper deals with the wild life found in the NEFA and briefly enumerateS the factors responsible for its continued destruction in these areas. The problems faced in imposing any legislation regarding preservation of wild life and the role played by the social customs and food habits of the local people are briefly discussed.
