Moist mixed deciduous forests with scattered sal occurring in the areas to the South of the Brahmaputra River in Assam have apparently not been covered by the types & sub-types furnished in the Revised Classification of the Forest Types of India. An attempt has been made in this artide to describe the formation from information gleaned during field-works for revision of Working Plan in the South-Kamrup Division, Assam.
