Forestry in the New Millennium

Indian Forestry has come a long way since its inception during the British rule. Its perceptions, policies and practices have come in for critical scrutiny quite often, but rarely with a close look at their concepts and context. This paper attempts a broad analysis of traditional forestry and suggests future perspectives.
