The paper describes the importance of in-situ conservation of biodiversity to ensure the processes of evolution to continue without any hindrance for the overall development of man and to build a holistic and optimum relationship between man and nature. The principal reasons for ecological degradation are poverty and ignorance about the understanding the ecosystem. Thus, people from all walks of life are to be intricately involved in conservation education for the common benefit of mankind.
