Foot rot, a new disease of Boswellia serrata caused by Fusarium oxysporum was recorded in young seedlings in the nursery during March and April. The pathogen is soil-brone and caused considerable loss in the nursery. The pathogenicity has been established on different substrates by standard methods. Some fungicides viz., P.M.A., topsin, bavistin, thiram, ceresan, fytolan and dithane M-45 have been used by seed treatment before sowing. Amongst the fungicides tried, thiram and topsin were found significant in controlling this disease.
