Rooting Experiments of Stem Cuttings of Stercula urens, Roxb.

Sterculia urena yields 'Gum karaya' which was used in many industries like Cosmetics, Pharamaceuticals etc. Terminal and middle cuttings were treated with ischolar_maining hormone Indole-3 Butyric Acid at 4000 ppm and 5000 ppm concentrations. ischolar_maining of cuttings was observed after 28 days In both these concentrations. No ischolar_maining was observed in the control.
