Subscribe/Renew Journal
Studies on biomass and primary productivity of Tephrosia species in semiarid vegetation at Perungudi Village, Madurai during September-1988 to February- 1988 have been undertaken. The biomass and primary productivity in rainy season was found to be higher as compared to Winter season. The above-ground biomass reached the peak value of 558.1 g/m2 in September and underground biomass at 190.70 g/m2 in hnuary. Litter biomass varied from 20.10 to 45.10 g/m2. System transfer function for different components have been calculated and based on these values, a block diagram has also been prepared.
