Rhizoctonia Leaf Spotting and Blight of Michelia champaca. A New Nursery Disease and its Management
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Leaf spotting and blight, a new disease of Michelia champaca caused by Rhizoctonia solani anamorph of Thanatephorus cucumeris is described and management of the disease outlined. The disease has been successfully controlled through an integrated approach involving measures such as sanitation and cultural practices. Raising of seedlings in polypots instead of beds is recommended as it minimises the incidence of the disease considerably.
