Growth Studies of some Species and Provenances of Eucalyptus in Punjab
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Eucalyptus is the most important tree species for agro-forestry. To improve the productive potential of Eucalyptus plantations in India a species-cum-provenance trial constituting 16 species was conducted, growth data of 6 yeas old plantations was studied and some species and provenances have given significantly higher height and diameter over others. However, no significant difference has been found between the volume of the various provenances and species.
