Pagyda salvalis Walker is an important pest of teak causing severe damage to teak inflorescence and fruits. Heavy attack results in poor fruit setting. External morpbology of moth, pupa, larva and egg are described. Only threr generations were observed from June to October The larva fed on inflorescence and fruits of teak. Besides it was recorded feeding on leaves of Callicarpa lanata, Nothing is known about the pest when teak is not in inflorescence and fruit. Studies need be carried out to fill this lacuna in the bionomics of the pest.
