Forestry in Jammu and Kashmir : a Brief Critical Review

The paper discusses the silvicultural and managment of the forests of Jammu & Kashmir State. The methods of assessment of area and problems relating to the roles of working plans in management needs of the forests have been critically examined. Suggestions are given for improving the silvicultural and management practices.
