Indian economy is growing at an accelerated speed and a number of multinational companies are coming up like mushrooms that have opened new avenues for the youth in India in terms of employment and other opportunities. According to the researches carried out by a number of organisations, it is found that although the Indian youth gets attracted initially to the global culture of MNCs, but as the time passes, the employees start feeling themselves under pressure of the organisational stress which threaten the working capacity and work productivity of an employee; self-efficacy decreases and with an increased competition among the co-workers, one comes under a feeling of inferiority. The present study was aimed at studying occupational self-efficacy of BPO employees in relation to occupational stress. In order to test the framed hypothesis, obtained data were processed and analysed with the help of computer. Means, S.D.s, correlation coefficient, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis technique are applied in this study. There is a significant relationship between/amongst all the variables chosen in the study irrespective of gender. Regression analysis showed that the predictor variables, namely, occupational self-efficacy do have an influence of over the criterion variable, i.e. occupational stress.
