Screening of Novel Hybrid Combinations of Synthetic Drugs with Plant Extracts for Its in Vitro Antioxidant Activity
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The present experiment was carried out with the aim to screen selected herb-drug for its antioxidant activity in combination and individually. The antioxidant activity of test samples were estimated by 2,2 Diphenyl -1-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity, hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, reducing power assay. All the selected herb-drug combinations have shown significant antioxidant activity in all three antioxidant procedures compared to individual herb or drug sample. Hence, it may be concluded that herb-drug combinations have better antioxidant potential than alone.
