E-Resources Consortia in India-Some Lingering Issues

The dawn of new millennium made a beginning for the advent and availability of e-resources in large numbers for the use of-especially in academic and research libraries in India. Today nearly 10 different consortia are operating in India and are servicing with e-resources, in particular e-journals to Academic and Research community in University Libraries, Research Laboratories and other specialized institutions like IITs, IIMs, IIA and so on., and eased the acquisition and management of serials in the Libraries.
