Five Laws of Library Science Turns 80

The completion of 50 years in the life of an individual has significance. If he or she completes 60 years, it is regarded as one life cycle. As per Indian Calendar there are 60 Samvatsaras – the 61st year signifies rebirth, hence celebrations. The completion of 75 years is platinum and so on. It is all true in the case of a human being. What attributes are assigned to a book which has a successful run of 80 years. It is a matter to be really contemplated, rejoiced, recalled and a regeneration of its thought content – it durableness, currency and ever sustaining interest in the treatment of the subject.
