Web Intelligence Implication for Author Searching

Web Intelligence is a combination of Artificial Intelligence as well as Information Technology. Web Intelligence deals with systematic studies of advanced web related theories, methodologies, technologies and tools as well as the design and implementation of intelligent Web Information Systems. Web Intelligence includes Four Conceptual Levels. The four level framework ranges from the lower hardware-centered Level to the higher application-centered Level.
In this context, it is worth while to explore the advantages of various provisions in the web that have an added advantage compared to manual or bibliographic databases. The notion of library services is also undergoing metamorphosis.
In light of above findings, in this paper, authors explore library catalogs as accessible from web-opac. In particular, it devotes to the study of author catalogue as viewable from the web-opac and infers important conclusions in comparison with card catalogue and bibliographic databases from yester years.
