Online Access to Information in Health Care Profession in India

The invention of computer as well as information and communication technology has brought in many changes all over the world in all the fields. It has not left the medical field; there is a big revolution in the health care profession. Many new concepts have evolved in health care profession like telemedicine, electronic health record, health management information system, open access system, new publishing models etc. The clinicians and the scientists are not well informed about this development in India and the infrastructure is also not fully equipped in India. The librarians also find it very difficult to cope up with this situation. This paper deals with the challenges faced by the medical librarians. It also gives few resources that provide health science information.
