Notes that woman is a component of the society and still she is least beneficiary in view of her inherited characters and roles. She has diverse information needs. This paper traces the sources of information that woman prefer, community information she requires, efforts made by the state and central governments. Also discusses the role of libraries and ICT in providing information support to women.
