LIS in Search of Identity
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Library and Information Science(LIS) has still been in search of an identity. One reason might be that it is not domain specific. Incidentally LIS courses in universities are affiliated to different faculties; science, social science and others. The nomenclature changed from Library Economy to Library and Information Science which probably broadened its scope from a vocation to a profession.
