Medium of Instruction in LIS Education in India—Regional Language or English? Analysis Through System Approach

Highlights the role of language as the medium of instruction in education in general and LIS education in particular. Discusses LIS education with the help of system concept mainly from language viewpoint. Analyses thoroughly different elements and interfaces of the system and evolve scientific opinion for regional language as the medium of instruction in India. Also recommends English as the link language to cope with the global acceleration of LIS subject and to maintain equilibrium to the environment of the system "LIS education".
