Citing Electronic Resources - Some Issues

In the present day Information Society, Internet and the World Wide Web have become important sources of information. With several millions of home pages, World Wide Web provides access to large volume of information. Many research studies find their place in the Web. Realizing the potential of the Web as a source of information many research studies cite the resources available on the Web. This study examines the sources of cyber information and discusses the need for quantitative studies regarding the information available in the cyberspace. In particular, this study examines the problems associated with citing the electronic resources and attempts to answer some of the questions encountered in citing the electronic resources. Study suggests for evolving standards in citing the electronic resources.
