A Bibliometric Study of the 'Bibliography on Natural Rubber Research of the RRII and the Rubber Board

Bibliometric study of the natural rubber bibliographies published in India during the period 1983 to 1994 was attempted. The authorship pattern, year wise distribution, subject wise analysis and bibliographic forms of literature in the 1037 entries were studied. Core journals and core authors were also identified. Journal articles predominated (55.16%) among the bibliographic forms. Multiple authorship was observed in 64.4% of the contributions. Maximum number of publications was in the field of chemistry, physics and technology. The core author was M R Sethuraj and the core journal was Rubber Board Bulletin.
