A new Chemical Notation System-ALWIN-(for organic compounds) which has, as its basis, the Wiswesser Line Notation is described in this series of papers. In arriving at this notation and its computer implementation, concepts from the Theory or algorithms, Theory of graphs and networks, Theory of programming languages, and the Theory of formal languages have been used. A selective bibliography is provided.

Abstract

In arriving at this notation and its computer implementation, concepts from the Theory or algorithms, Theory of graphs and networks, Theory of programming languages, and the Theory of formal languages have been used.
