Today there is an increasing need to cope with the information explosion, especially for research scientists and technologists as the diffusion of information is primarily made through periodicals. A steady increase in subscription rates, fluctuation in foreign currencies, with limited budget pose a challenge to the Librarians whether it would be possible to allocate requisite funds for periodicals in future.
