Information Retrieval for INSPEC Data Base

This paper is concerned with the development of software for retrieving information from INSPEC Magnetic tapes produced by Institution of Electrical Engineers, London, U.K. The sOftware developed has different modules. They are keyword extraction, Indexed Sequential File creation, searching, formatting and printing. The keyword on which search has been made is 'subject heading'. It takes around two to three days to process one INSPEC tape for two hundred user profiles.
