Utility Factors in Research Support Services of Academic Library

Utility analysis, its importance and need for such a study in a library set up is discussed with special reference to Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore centre library. Benefit or the effecvtiveness of the system is measured in terms of research publications of the users of the library and evaluated against the cost-structure of the system.
