Shiyali Ramamritam Ranganathan

When I joined the career of librarianship. in 1940, during the War time, Ranganathan had already done most of his fundamental work. He had already postulated the Five Laws of Library Science, developed the second edition of the Colon Classification, published the Classified Catalogue Code, and Library Administration, the Theory of Library Catalogue, and the Prolegomena to Library Classification.
