Ranganathan Birth Centenary: A Watershed in Librarianship (A Centenary Report)

Ranganathan's Birth Centenary year recorded a good response from several individuals and institutions in India and abroad. The International Federation for Library Association held its 58th General Conference at Delhi during 30th Aug. to 5th Sept. 1992 at the invitation of Indian Library Association. In the plenary session Dr. Eric de Grolier, a contemporary of Ranganathan since the Dorking Conference on Classification Research in 1957, presented a review on Ranganathan.
