The library and information services, information seeking behavior (including use and user studies), classification, cataloguing and indexing were the most important research topics during 1965-1995; the other interesting topic was information storage and retrieval. Since then, there were many research papers in the area of knowledge organization, information management (including digital resources management), library automation, institutional repositories, library education, etc. However, the most popular research topics in the last twenty five years were bibliometrics and scientomet - rics. Most of the Ph D theses from the Indian Universities were also in the area of bibliometrics and scientometrics. The papers in the SRELS Journal of Information Management are no exception to this trend.
