Studies the scatter and seepage of documents on Electro-chemistry among 592 periodicals. About J 27 periodicals cany nearly 90 per cent of the documents on the subject. Less than 4 per cent of the documents are published in sources not dealing with Electro-chemistry or its penumbral areas. About 80 per cent of the documents are articles. The highest number of citations (19%) is to the host periodical studied, namely Journal, Electrochemical Society. The highest number of citations in any one volume of the Journal is to the documents published two years earlier. Approximately 40 per cent of the citations in any one volume of the Journal are to documents published during the preceding 5 years, and 69 per cent citations are to documents published during the preceding 10 years.
