Does Training Affect Productivity of Employees? Two Methods of Meta-Analysis
Subscribe/Renew Journal
This study is based on the sample correlations arrived at by different studies. Though a number of studies indicate that there is weak or no relationship between training and productivity, the present meta-analysis indicates that the training provided to employees does have a significant effect on productivity. The present study finds that there is a moderate (mean) relationship between training and productivity of employees. Training affects productivity across-the-board i. e. for top-level managers, medium level managers and bottom-line employees. However, certain moderator variables e.g. citizenship of the sample may influence the magnitude of the effect of training on the productivity.
