Determinants of Job Satisfaction of Faculty in Higher Education

This study aims at analyzing Job satisfaction of faculty relating to management education in Andhra Pradesh State. The results of the study indicate that motivation, work itself, working conditions, working relations, organizations policies & procedures, pay and benefits, teaching performance, research performance and strengths & opportunities appear to be the significant determinants of Job satisfaction, while stress adversely impacts Job satisfaction. The magnitude of Job satisfaction differed across institutions with the highest score being in the Central University and declining in descending order among state universities, deemed to be universities, autonomous colleges, affiliated colleges and standalone AICTE Institutions. Job satisfaction exhibited variation by designation, qualification, age and experience.
