Career Management in the Learning Organisations: Faculty Reflections

A key ingredient in the knowledge economy is the development of people's careers. All development starts with self development and self development is the essence of human resource development (HRD). All types of organisations are striving for the best practices at work. Among these best practices, career management is crucial for the individual and organisational success. In this paper, we present the findings of an empirical survey of career practices in the old and new universities of the Punjab, Pakistan and examine how these are applied.
