Dr. Rajammal P. Devadas was not only a great institution builder, but also a scientist who wished to create fora for the expression and publication of scientific work relating to Nutrition and Dietetics. On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education, it will be proper to remember the monumental contributions of both Shri. Avinashilingam Chettiar and Dr. Rajammal P. Devadas to building this great centre of research and education which has provided the building blocks for a national nutrition security system.
