The lives of tribals revolve around nature's law with a symbiotic relationship with nature. The Northeastern hill region of India is dominated by a number of tribes who have their own distinct history, culture, genetic make-up, social structure and customs. These features have made this region different from the rest of the country. Meghalaya, one of the states in this region is literally the "Abode of Clouds", the name that describes the climatic phenomena that brings torrents of rain to its mountainous terrain. Three different tribes: Khasis, Jaintias and Garos dominate the demographic profile of Meghalaya.
