Some investigators support the view that physical exercise (EX) probably arrests the progress of atherosclerosis in humans but the specific mechanism by which EX seem to protect against atherosclerosis is not quite clear. However, it has been reported that EX is related to an apparent increase in the side chain cleavage and oxidation of cholesterol.

Abstract

Some investigators support the view that physical exercise (EX) probably arrests the progress of atherosclerosis in humans but the specific mechanism by which EX seem to protect against atherosclerosis is not quite clear. However, it has been reported that EX is related to an apparent increase in the side chain cleavage and oxidation of cholesterol.
