"Shakahar" is comprised of two words "Shak" and "Ahar" the meaning of which is "Vegetarian Diet". Shakahar has a distinct and important place in the Indian culinary practices. This is primarily because India has a very congenial climate for the growth of vegetation and that too in abundance. The abundance makes it cheaper too, to suit the Indian economic conditions. This is the main source of sustenance for our people.
