Nutritionists all over the world agree that young children (under five years), women n reproductive phase of life particularly, pregnant and nursing and the elderly (aged 60 years and more) constitute the most vulnerable segments of population from the standpoint of nutrition. Considerable concern has been shown by the health and nutrition scientists in delineating the problems affecting the health of the children and women.
