Tannic Acid of Tea and Coffee as Incriminating Factor for Heart Disease
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Recent survey has shown association of myocardial infarction with coffee-drinking. According to the scientists of Boston University^ people drinking more than five cups of coffee per day have about twice as great a risk of having an acute myocardial infarction as those drinking no coffee at all. They could not, however, find any association between tea-drinking and the disease. The findings of Jick et al confirmed those of the Boston scientists. Contrary to the above findings, other workers could not observe any association between coffee-drinking and myocardial infarction.
