The present shortage of feeds and fodders has led the nutritionist to evaluate new feeds from the agricultural byproducts and industrial waste materials. Bhattacharya and Fontenot, Bose et al, Kehar, Kehar and Chanda, Kehar and Sahai, Reddy et al, Sahai, Satapathy and Leffel, and Satapathy and Amla have studied these type of products which include Saccherum spontaneum, Cassia tora seeds, tamarind seeds, mango seed kernels etc.
