Abstract
Evidence of several types supports the concept that composition and quantity of dietary constituents can influence rates of atherogenesis and that affects the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD). Epidemiological research has demonstrated a close relationship between the diet and chronic degenerative diseases particularly CHD. Scientific evidence continues to support the important role of diet in the development of most common cause of premature death in developed countries by CHD.
