Subscribe/Renew Journal
Technical education plays a significant role for the economic progress and development of any country. For rapid and sustained development of the nation, the strong and well qualified technical manpower is a pre-requisite. It is realized that the number of Government technical institutions are insufficient to meet the requirements of technical manpower. Due to paucity of funds, Government pursued the policy of privatization, which resulted into mushrooming of large number of self-financed institutions. Now, the technical education has expanded quantitatively but quality of education imparted has fell down. To identify the possible areas for improvement of quality, the empirical study seeking the perceptions of faculty has been conducted. The methodology followed has been explained and the issues which need improvement for enhancing the qualify of education have been identified and discussed.
