Anaemia affects more than 3.5 billion people in developing world in spite of several intervention programmes in which iron tablets are given to children, Anaemia is caused by significant changes in hematological parameters such as Red Blood Cell (RBC) count, haemoglobin, hematocrit, White Blood Cell (WBC) count and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) which could be used as biomarkers in assessing the severity of several diseases including kidney diseases.
