Dietary fiber's therapeutic and prophylactic beneficiary effect is being evidenced to influence carbohydrate and lipid metabolism as soluble fiber. Whereas insoluble fiber is associated with gastrointestinal effect such as increased softness and volume of feces. It may also lower the risk of colorectal cancer by reducing the concentration of carcinogens in the lumen.
