In recent time, adoption of modern agricultural technology and the use of chemical fertilizers have tremendously increased the agricultural production. As a result of this, nutritionally important trace elements are heavily withdrawn from soil leading to the deficiency of micronutrients. Vermicasting, the sustainable biofertilizer produced with vermiculture is sought to rejuvenate soils.

Abstract

In recent time, adoption of modern agricultural technology and the use of chemical fertilizers have tremendously increased the agricultural production. As a result of this, nutritionally important trace elements are heavily withdrawn from soil leading to the deficiency of micronutrients. Vermicasting, the sustainable biofertilizer produced with vermiculture is sought to rejuvenate soils.
