Nutrition plays a vital role throughout the entire life of an individual. Proper nutrition is important for normal growth and development, the maintenance of good health and the prevention of diseases. Individual with good nutritional status perform better physically and mentally, and cope better with environmental and occupational stresses. It is one of the few factors in life that an individual carefully controls through the kinds of food he or she selects to eat.
